Healthcare That Takes the Time to Understand You.
It Started With a Simple Belief: Women Deserve to Be Heard.
There are moments when you know something has changed, even if you can't quite put your finger on it.
Your energy feels different. Your sleep isn't what it used to be. Your weight has changed. Your hormones feel out of balance. Or maybe you simply don't feel like yourself.
Grace Vitality & Wellness was created to give women the time, attention, and personalized care to better understand those changes.
Founded by Casey Gilbert, MSN, FNP-C, Grace Vitality brings together more than 15 years of healthcare experience with advanced training in women's hormone health, metabolic health, and longevity medicine.
This is care built around the woman, not just the symptom.
Meet Casey Gilbert, MSN, FNP-C
I am a nurse practitioner with over 15 years of experience in healthcare, including a decade as a nurse practitioner. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a broken, sick-care-focused healthcare system that often prioritizes symptom management over true wellness, leaving patients sicker and underserved. My own experiences as both a provider and a patient within this system inspired me to seek advanced training in women’s hormone health and weight loss. My expertise in these areas allows me to provide care that is both comprehensive and transformative, focusing on root causes rather than temporary fixes.
Personally, I follow a lifestyle centered on hormone health, balanced nutrition, and strength training—the three essential pillars I believe are necessary for living a life of vitality and well-being. My goal is to empower women to take control of their health and thrive at every stage of life!
Meet Tammy Schools
Tammy is our Patient Care Coordinator at Grace Vitality & Wellness and plays an important role in helping make your experience as smooth and seamless as possible. She supports Casey with administrative tasks so more time and attention can be devoted to patient care.
She has been on her own hormone health journey for over five years after years of feeling unheard while seeking answers for her symptoms. That personal experience sparked a deep passion for supporting women in perimenopause and menopause who may be going through similar challenges. She understands how frustrating that season can be—and how life-changing the right care can be.
Originally from outside of Chicago, Tammy has called South Carolina home since her teenage years. She is a proud grandmother to six, a devoted dog lover, and enjoys spending time in the mountains. She also loves to travel, especially cruises.
Tammy is also Casey’s mom, which makes her role here especially meaningful. She is honored to be part of a clinic that truly listens, cares, and walks alongside women on their health journey.

A Few Things You May Be Wondering
-
We are a cash-based practice and do not accept insurance. If you have insurance that you think will cover labs, this can be discussed at your first visit. This model enables us to provide the high-level, comprehensive, and personalized care that often isn’t possible within the traditional insurance-based system. By removing the limitations imposed by insurance companies, we can ensure that every patient has access to the necessary treatments and medications without unnecessary barriers. As a self-pay practice, we prioritize spending the time needed to truly understand your needs and deliver the quality care you deserve, free from the restrictions of the “sick-based model” of care.
At this time we cannot take patients with Medicare insurance for any of our services.
We accept credit/debit cards, Care Credit, HSA, and FSA. We do not accept cash, check, paypal, or venmo.

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is a treatment designed to restore hormonal balance, particularly for women experiencing symptoms of menopause, perimenopause, or other hormone-related conditions. HRT can help alleviate symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, low energy, and sleep disturbances. It is tailored to each individual’s needs and may include bioidentical hormones for a more natural approach.
-
Our Medical Weight Loss program uses GLP-1 medications, which are FDA-approved and clinically proven to support weight loss by:
Reducing appetite and cravings
Slowing digestion to promote a feeling of fullness
Improving blood sugar regulation
Our medical weight loss can be added on to one of our wellness programs. We no longer offer weight loss, as a standalone service, as we have found without working through all facets of health, weight loss is not as successful and sustainable.
-
If you experience symptoms like irregular periods, unexplained weight gain, acne, or difficulty conceiving, you may have PCOS. The first step is to schedule a consultation with us. We will:
Conduct a thorough evaluation, including blood tests and a review of your symptoms
Provide a clear diagnosis and explain your options
Create a personalized treatment plan to address your unique needs
Early intervention and proper management can significantly improve your quality of life.
-
Results from Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) can vary depending on the individual and the specific symptoms being addressed. Many women begin to notice improvements in symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings, and energy levels within 4-6 weeks. However, optimal results may take 3-6 months as your body adjusts to the treatment. We monitor your progress closely and make adjustments as needed to ensure the best outcomes.
-
Women with a history of breast cancer will need a written statement or written consent for HRT treatment before treatment can be started.
If you are a smoker, we suggest stopping smoking prior to your initial visit, as smoking will limit the types of hormones that can be used.
-
All of our treatment programs include nutrition and lifestyle counseling personalized to you. We also are heavy on metabolic health risk factors and disease prevention. For patients with chronic pain, autoimmune disorders, etc, sometimes we provide Low-Dose Naltrexone for these conditions.
-
Yes, we do provide other peptides other than GLP-1's that can help support your health goals. These will be discussed on an individual basis.
-
We use Bioidentical Hormone Replacement, which is identical to our natural hormones. These are obtained from a compounding pharmacy. We do not utilize hormone pellets of any kind. We use creams, injections, patches, and capsules.
-
Yes, GLP-1 medications are safe when prescribed and monitored by a healthcare professional. These medications have been extensively studied and are FDA-approved for weight management. Common side effects, such as nausea or digestive discomfort, are typically mild and temporary. We closely monitor each patient to ensure optimal results and safety.
-
Yes! While HRT is commonly used to manage menopause symptoms, it can also help with other hormone-related issues, such as:
Low libido
Fatigue and low energy
Mood swings and irritability
Bone density loss
Vaginal dryness and discomfort
We tailor HRT to address your specific symptoms and health goals.
-
Yes! Medical Weight Loss, particularly with GLP-1 medications, can have additional health benefits beyond weight loss. These medications are known to:
Improve blood sugar control, making them beneficial for individuals with type 2 diabetes.
Lower blood pressure and improve cardiovascular health.
Reduce the risk of obesity-related conditions like sleep apnea and joint pain.
Our program is designed to address both weight loss and overall health improvement.
-
Lifestyle changes can enhance the effectiveness of both HRT and Medical Weight Loss. For HRT, we recommend:
Eating a balanced diet rich in whole foods.
Engaging in regular exercise, including strength training and cardio.
Managing stress through mindfulness or relaxation techniques.
For Medical Weight Loss, we suggest:
Following a nutrient-dense, portion-controlled diet.
Incorporating regular physical activity into your routine.
Staying hydrated and getting adequate sleep.
We provide personalized guidance to help you make sustainable changes that support your health goals.
